Welcome to the Book Society.
We are a non-profit organisation founded in 1921.
The Society ‘promotes, shares and extends knowledge to all those concerned in the creation, production and distribution of books, and meets to discuss and initiate developments for the good of the book trade.’ The Book Society Constitution
Membership nominations can be made by any members of the Book Society, and all nominations must be supported by a seconder. Nominations are approved by the Society’s Committee at regular intervals throughout the year, and if you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact the Secretary.

Announcements for members
The annual membership fee for 2026 is £60.00 and is due on 1st January 2026. To pay your membership, please log in and go to MY ACCOUNT. If you are not sure whether or not you have paid, this will be shown under MY ACCOUNT (non-paid member means not paid).
